The Family

Chris & Carol Parker have been in the wine business since 1999 and as sole owners of the business since 2002. Carol & Chris are involved in all facets of the wine production from the vineyard through to sales & marketing.Chris and Carol’s interest in wine producing began some 20 years ago with Chris’s home production of various fruit wines, including boysenberry, kiwi-fruit, banana, blackberry, and believe it or not a tamarillo based wine with Carol judging those efforts.

The three Parker children have all worked in the vineyard.

Euan Parker- the oldest son. Euan received first class honours in Biochemistry and subsequently undertook study in Europe under the Eramus Mundus scholarship program to gain his Master Vintage degree. Euan has gained valuable knowledge in both winemaking and marketing spheres. 

Amber Parker- our daughter. Amber received first class honours in Molecular genetics and is currently in Europe studying for her Master Vintage Degree under the Eramus programme. We are hoping that on her return to New Zealand she will take work alongside the rest of the family, either in production or marketing

Duncan Parker- the youngest son. Duncan has recently finished his bachelor of arts degree and has worked many harvests on the vineyard. From growing up on the vineyard Duncan understands the varieties and terroir very well and has an excellent nose.

Cassie Parker- our dog. Whilst we would like to make Cassie our public relations manager as she is always the first to great our guests at our tasting room, she lacks a few verbal communication skills, and we don't think hunting and eating rabbits is something someone in PR should be doing. So we appointed her as the head of pest management, which she is very proficient at. We love our beloved Cassie and so does everyone whom comes through our tasting room. She just loves people.
